Wrocław CBA officers detained seven people, among them are the presidents of municipal companies responsible for waste management. It is about investigating irregularities in tenders. Detention shares were carried out in four voivodships.

The District Prosecutor's Office in Świdnica is investigating this matter. It is about tenders for investments in 2018-2020 consisting in the construction or modernization of waste processing and sorting installations-he said on Tuesday in the announcement CBA.

Suspects are the presidents of management boards, representatives and employees of companies participating in tenders. CBA officers detained them in the province. Dolnośląskie, Śląskie, Mazowieckie and Podkarpackie. A spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Świdnica, Prosecutor Mariusz Pinder, said that all suspects are employees of municipal companies, including from Wałbrzych and Bielsko-Biała.

According to the CBA, as a result of the agreement of representatives of companies dealing in the management of waste with the contractors of the investment, the competition was limited and the costs of investments carried out.

It's a pity for over 37 million

“This led institutions co -financing these investments from public funds to adverse disposal of property. The total value of damage is over PLN 37 million,” the CBA said in a communiqué.

The suspects heard allegations in the District Prosecutor's Office in Świdnica. Police supervision and property guarantee were applied to them. Two of them were suspended in the functions of the Presidents of Management Board. The prosecutor applied for two people for detention on remand, but the court did not take them into account.

“The prosecutor will complain about court decisions,” said Pinder.
