The 44-year-old, whose body was found in one of the apartments in Świdnik (Lublin Province), was beaten to death, the prosecutor’s office informs. Three people who drank alcohol in the man’s apartment have already pleaded guilty. The fourth one is to hear accusations soon.
On Thursday (November 4), the body of a 44-year-old man was found in one of the apartments in Świdnik. An autopsy showed that the cause of death was the beating injuries. Preliminary findings show that the incident took place on Tuesday, November 2.
Senior aspirant Elwira Domaradzka, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Świdnik, reported on Friday about the detention of four people. The next day, the charges were heard by three of them: two women, 39 and 41 years old, and a 32-year-old man.
One of the suspects was detained before the body was found
– Everyone pleaded guilty. However, their explanations require verification. Two of them are trying to minimize their responsibility. This will be the subject of our investigation. The court applied temporary detention on all three of them – says tvn24.pl – on Monday (November 8) – the head of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Świdnik, Marcin Nosowski.
He added that on Monday the charges are to be heard by a 41-year-old man who is in prison and is to be brought to the prosecutor’s office. – He was detained on Wednesday, the day before the body was found, during an intervention that was unrelated to this case. It turned out that he had to serve a prison sentence, which is why he was sent to prison – informs the prosecutor.
Misunderstanding during the meeting
All detained persons were known to law enforcement agencies before.
– Everything indicates that alcohol was the catalyst for this tragedy. The fatal beating occurred after a misunderstanding during a meeting in the 44-year-old’s apartment – emphasizes the prosecutor.
The perpetrators are threatened with up to 10 years imprisonment. The 32-year-old will be liable under the conditions of recidivism. So he can hear a sentence of 15 years in prison.
