Witnesses alerted the police on Friday that someone was masturbating on the beach in Świnoujście. The officers fined a man for an “indecent act” who turned out to be subordinate to the Province of St. Wojciech with its registered office in Piła. – The priest served as a catechist. Until now, it has enjoyed a great, unblemished reputation – says the spokesman of the assembly, Father Krzysztof Rudziński. On Saturday evening, information about the priest’s death appeared.
Information about the priest’s shocking behavior on the Świnoujście beach (where he appeared in civilian clothes) appears on the web. The entry signed by one of the Internet users shows that the incident was supposed to take place in front of children. The police, however, denied this information.
– The police classified the incident as an indecent prank and fined the man. The amount of the penalty was decided by the officers who carried out the intervention, said sub-inspector Alicja Śledziona from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Szczecin in an interview with our editorial office.
The policewoman pointed out that the information about the alleged masturbation in front of minors was not confirmed. Otherwise, the man would have been arrested.
Explanatory activities
– The priest himself informed about the incident to his superior. An explanatory process has been initiated that will allow us to better understand why the incident happened and what consequences may await the priest – Fr. Krzysztof Rudziński from the Piła Province of the Salesians.

The spokesman for the Salesians in Piła emphasizes that until now the priest has enjoyed an “impeccable reputation” in the congregation and among the faithful.
– Little time has passed since the incident, so it is difficult for us to formulate an unambiguous opinion regarding decisions related to the tasks assigned to the priest – points out Fr. Krzysztof Rudzinski.
Earlier, in a message published by the Salesians, the spokesman assured “of readiness to cooperate with the relevant services, as well as that we want to clarify this situation as soon as possible”.

The priest is dead
As the Salesians informed on Saturday evening, on that day, at the age of 57, “a brother from the community of Our Lady of the Rosary in Szczecin died”. According to the findings of tvn24.pl journalists, confirmed by Fr. Krzysztof Rudziński, spokesman for the Piła Salesian Province, it is about a monk suspected of “indecent excess”.
