Four people were injured and taken to hospital in a collision of two cars in Świnoujście (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). After the accident, the tunnel under the Świna was closed, and cars were directed to the ferry crossing.
The accident occurred on Sunday (18 August) at around 10:50 a.m. As Senior Sergeant Kamil Zwierzchowski, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Świnoujście, informed TVN24, most likely during overtaking, two passenger cars, a Seat and a Kia, collided head-on.
– As a result of the collision, four people were injured and taken to hospital – the officer said.
The disruptions will last approximately four hours.
Currently, cars are directed to the Warszów crossing (in the city center). The crossing – two Bielik type ferries – operates in continuous traffic. The crossing will be supported by a larger Karsibór type ferry.
The police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the accident on site.
