Two people are dead and two injured. This is the result of a tragic accident that occurred on Saturday morning on the S8 route near Syców (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). The carriageway towards Warsaw was blocked.
A fatal accident on the S8 near Syców occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on the Warsaw-bound lane. Two passenger cars were involved – a Volvo and a Ford.

According to initial findings, the cause of the accident could have been an unauthorized lane change by one of the drivers. The cars were traveling in the same direction, toward Warsaw.
– Two people travelling in the Volvo died. They are men aged 55 and 25. The driver of the car and the third passenger were transported to hospital. One of them was transported using an emergency medical service helicopter. The driver of the Ford and the passenger were unharmed – says Bernadeta Pytel from the District Police Headquarters in Oleśnica.

Police and firefighters are on site, under the supervision of the prosecutor. The roadway towards Warsaw is blocked. Drivers are being directed to detours through the Syców Zachód junction. The disruptions may last several more hours.
