The journalist drew attention to the growing power of large technology concerns. In this context, she mentioned, among others, Meta, the owner of Facebook.
– These are three billion users, three billion followers, three billion, you can also say, citizens of such a state of meta – she said.
Growing power
– These are actually some citizens of this country, the finish creates regulations, the principles of operation for the community, implements them as if it were law. This is more than domestic or international law, because it puts them above domestic or international law. This is even private censorship introduced in social media. Private censorship, i.e. privatized censorship. One whose rules of operation are imposed by private companies – she said.
– It is not that, for example, the Oświęcim lie, i.e. the provision of Polish criminal law, specifically adopted, over which there is a kind of social agreement, is higher than this private censorship, private finishing regulations. If Meta decides that something in her opinion breaks the law, her law, she will take off such content, delete, hide, he will impose Shadowban, and if she decides that she does not break, she will not do anything with it – she pointed out.
– There are concrete examples, regularly repeated from around the world, that local law stands lower in the face of this regulatory, metal law. It is similar with Twitter, it is similar with Google and YouTube – she mentioned.
