The captain of one of the dredgers working in the port of Szczecin had over two and a half per mille of alcohol in his body. The man was arrested and will appear in court in an expedited manner.
During a police patrol of Szczecin’s water areas, officers received information about a possible drunk captain operating a dredger in the port.
“The police sailed to the site by motorboat and performed a sobriety test, which showed that the person carrying out the work had more than two and a half per mille of alcohol in the body,” we read in the police press release.
After securing the ship, the man was detained. The 60-year-old will be brought to court in an accelerated procedure for his actions.
