A 34-year-old foreigner was driving against traffic in the center of Szczecin (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). He did not stop for the police check and started running away. He lost control of the car and skidded. A breathalyzer test showed that the man had one and a half per mille of alcohol in his body. Additionally, he did not have a driving license.

The incident took place on the night from Thursday to Friday in the center of Szczecin. The driver of the Volvo drove into Krzywoustego Street against the traffic. The man ignored the signs and signals given by the police to stop and started running away.

“The police gave chase. The man broke all traffic regulations and drove aggressively, posing a threat to other road users.” – we read in the police statement.

Not only the drunk driver but also the passengers

When the fleeing driver turned into Piastów Avenue, “he probably lost control of the vehicle and skidded.” Apart from the driver, there were two drunk passengers in the car.

After testing the man with a breathalyzer, it turned out that the foreigner had one and a half per mille of alcohol in his body. He was arrested and the court will decide on his punishment.
