Two men in masks and with hammers entered a currency exchange office in Szczecin at night. For almost a minute they tried to break the glass in the checkout window, but they did not achieve their goal. The alarm and the employee of the neighboring currency exchange office probably scared them away. The owners of the facility published the surveillance footage on social media.
Two men in balaclavas with hammers broke into the currency exchange point in the SÅ‚oneczne housing estate in Szczecin on the night from Sunday to Monday. They tried to break the glass in the ticket window – this is according to information published by the owners of the exchange office on the Internet.
Anna Gembala, press officer of the police in Szczecin, confirms that such an event took place, but does not provide further information on this matter for the sake of the investigation. It also confirms that nothing has been stolen. Police activities in this case are ongoing.
“Take care of yourselves. The perpetrators escaped”
The owners of the exchange office published photos and a surveillance video on Facebook.
Today (11/11/2024) at At 2.50 there was an attempted attack on Kantor Jasiu – wrote the owners of the facility. “The masked attackers tried to break the glass in the cash register window with hammers. Thanks to the professional attitude of the employee, the appropriate services were quickly notified,” they report.
In the post, they thank an employee of a neighboring currency exchange office for helping them.
“We warn you,” they add immediately. – Take care of yourself and stay alert. The perpetrators escaped and the search is ongoing.
The owners of the currency exchange office are asking for help in identifying the attackers. “If anyone has any information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of the attack, please contact us. A reward will be offered,” they appeal.
