In the hospital in Szczecin on Arkońska Street, a fire broke out in one of the wards on the night of November 9. 51 patients were evacuated and four nurses had to be given oxygen. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The fire occurred on Saturday night (November 9) in the Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Department of the Independent Public Provincial Hospital in Szczecin.
Tomasz Owsik-Kozłowski, press spokesman for the hospital, announced that 51 patients were evacuated and transported to other hospital rooms. – No one was injured. Four nurses suffered smoke inhalation, but were given oxygen and ultimately were not injured, he added.

For now, hospital losses are difficult to estimate. – Equipment was destroyed, there was heavy smoke throughout the entire floor, so all walls will need to be repainted – said the spokesman. – The hospital has lost over 50 places, so there are fewer places for city patients. Dispatchers know to direct ambulances to other hospitals whenever possible, said Owsik-Kozłowski.
The cause of the fire is not known yet.
