A ten-month-old child who was allegedly raped was taken to a hospital in Szczecin. On Friday (30 August), the mother's partner was arrested. Piotr Wieczorkiewicz, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, said that the man had already been subjected to procedures and had been charged.
– I do not want to talk about the legal classification of the act, the content of the charge or the closer details of the case due to the good of the proceedings and the good of the injured party – he added.
By court order, he was temporarily arrested for three months. The information was provided by Judge Michał Tomala, spokesman for the District Court in Szczecin. The detention session, during which the court considered the prosecutor's motion, took place on Saturday at noon.
The child is in hospital
The incident was first reported by the local portal wSzczecinie.pl. It was reported that the victim of the rape was a ten-month-old girl, and the perpetrator was the mother's partner. The man was detained by the police, and the child was taken to the University Clinical Hospital No. 1 on Unia Lubelskiej Street in Szczecin.
According to unofficial information from TVN24 reporter Bartosz Bartkowiak, the woman was supposed to have left the child with her partner. – When she returned, the girl was supposed to have injuries indicating sexual abuse – he described.
Joanna Woźnicka, spokeswoman for the University Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Szczecin, said the girl is under constant medical care. “The patient has been with us for three days now, and her life is not in danger,” she added.
