Dariusz S. was acquitted in the murder of which he was to commit at the lake in Marianów (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) in June 2022. The court decided that the accused was acting in the necessary defense. The verdict is unlawful.

Judge Dariusz Ścisłowski from the District Court in Szczecin said that the injured person who provoked the whole situation is moral responsibility for the event.

– The accused got out of the car and was surrounded, he was jerked, did not take out the knife at the first moment, attempted to escape. He was chased and tipped, he again attempted to escape, caught up and surrounded by a group of men. The accused had the right to repel this attack, he acted in necessary defense conditions – he explained.

Agnieszka Trzpil-Florek from the District Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin admitted that she did not agree with the court judgment. – The prosecutor's office assesses this judgment as wrong and after obtaining a written justification we will most likely lodge an appeal – she added.

Agnieszka Maciejewska-Pasula, the accused's lawyer, said that in the defense assessment, the acquittal was the only possible and just judgment. “This story and the whole thing have been obvious to us from the very beginning,” she added.

The verdict is unlawful.

The body was found on the lake

The incident occurred on June 26, 2022 at the lake in Marianów. The man's body was found on the beach in the morning. “Głos Szczeciński” then described that men were to argue about a girl. One of them was supposed to pull out a knife, deal with the other and escape from the crime.

Dariusz S. was arrested in the case, who was charged with murder.
