The Weekend of Miracles of the Noble Parcel is not until December, but the foundation is already looking for volunteers who will help it reach those most in need. The number of people who sign up will determine how many people it will help. Anyone can sign up. You don't even have to leave your home to do it.
Szlachetna Paczka estimates that there is a shortage of about 4.7 thousand volunteers in Poland. The biggest shortages are in the provinces of Mazowieckie, Małopolskie and Śląskie. Although the famous Weekend of Miracles traditionally takes place in December, preparations for it start much earlier.
– It's the beginning of September, the weather is still beautiful. We're thinking about holidays and how to cool down, not about what will happen in winter. But we have to remember that there are people around us for whom the thought of winter is very difficult – says Joanna Sadzik, president of the “Wiosna” Association, which organizes the Noble Parcel every year.
And he reminds us that unfortunately, there are more and more poor people in Poland. And among them are both seniors and families with many children. – That is why we are looking for volunteers. Each such person is a chance to change approximately three families. This means that you have an impact on the lives of about 12 people – says the president of the association.

How to join the team?
It is the volunteers who check the stories of families who want to use the help and write down what they need. Then they connect the families with donors. – The need to help others and the desire to get involved in a social initiative have been in me for a long time. I know many volunteers who have been active and involved in the Noble Parcel for many years and their stories and commitment, as well as satisfaction and pride, made me say to myself this year: I can and want to help others too – says Małgorzata Szefler, a Noble Parcel volunteer.
As Szefler adds, volunteering is also a great opportunity to get to know yourself better. It also allows you to develop your communication skills better. – It is also an opportunity to meet new people and make new acquaintances and even friendships – adds the volunteer.

Last year was a record year
During last year's edition of the Noble Parcel, aid worth almost PLN 74 million was collected. The organizers emphasized that this was a record result. “We did not have the courage to dream of such results of the 23rd edition of the Noble Parcel. And yet today we look at incredible numbers, behind which there are hidden human stories, laughter and tears,” they said, summing up the campaign.
In 2023, over 12,000 volunteers were involved in the activities of the Noble Parcel.
