There are five days and a few hours left until the end of the Szlachetna Paczka charity campaign, and over 2,600 families are still without support. Volunteers appeal for donations and help. – There has never been a year when we needed donors so much – said Joanna Sadzik, president of the Wiosna association and a volunteer of Szlachetna Paczka, in an interview with TVN24.
According to data provided by Szlachetna Paczka on Sunday morning, still 2,652 families are waiting for donors. Most families are waiting for help in the voivodeship Lower Silesia, Opole and Silesia.
You can report your willingness to help until Friday, December 13. There are only five days and a few hours left until the end of the campaign.
The parcels prepared thanks to donors will go to those in need in the so-called weekend of miracles – December 14 and 15.
How can you help?
– I cannot imagine that, for example, Mrs. Wanda, who has cancer and is currently waiting for a pension, and her income is exactly zero zlotys, will not receive help. She survives only because her neighbors provide her with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I can't imagine that we will tell her: “Ms. Wanda, you will not receive food or cleaning products because there is no donor,” said Joanna Sadzik, president of the Wiosna association and a volunteer of Szlachetna Paczka, in an interview with TVN24.
She pointed out that there are many such families. – There has never been a year when we needed donors so much. You can do the package at the last minute, but a week is not enough time, she said. She argued that you can help, for example, by shopping online.
She explained that people interested in donating help should go to noblepaczka.pl, select a family and then contact a volunteer. – If you are wondering what to do, and you have never made a parcel, and you have friends to help, some money that can be spent on help, it is worth contacting the hotline, the number of which is available on the website noblepaczka.pl. The people on duty will instruct you step by step and tell you how to make such a package, she explained.
She pointed out that although there are only five days left until the end of the campaign, this is not enough time to compliment the package. – Nowadays, we can order most products online and receive them at home within two days – she pointed out.
“I'm concerned”
Tadeusz, one of the Szlachetna Paczka volunteers, takes care of one family that has still not found a donor.
– Honestly, I'm concerned. I wouldn't like to give them the news that the donor has not been found. This family lives in extreme conditions. These are two ladies who have lived since childhood in a house where there was never a bathroom or hot water, they actually wash themselves in a bowl – he said in an interview with TVN24.
– I appeal to everyone who would like to give someone this Christmas, such joy. Perhaps thanks to donors, someone will be able to wash in a real bathtub for the first time in their life, he pointed out.
Noble Parcel
You can compliment the package alone or in a group. You can also donate funds that will help Szlachetna Paczka volunteers purchase necessary products – often items necessary for everyday functioning: food, clothing, bedding, household appliances.
Wiosna volunteers previously visited families and people reported as needing help, a then they selected those most in need.
Last year, 17,000 people received support. family the value of aid was record-breaking and amounted to nearly PLN 74 million.
