Artur Szpilka quickly lost to Arkadiusz Wrzosek at KSW 94 after just 14 seconds of the fight. Now the former boxer is probably preparing to compete with Errol Zimmerman, and a possible victory will be a ticket to a rematch with Wrzosek. This is not the only desire to get back at a former opponent that bubbles up in “Szpila”.
Artur Szpilka wants two great rematches. Famous boxers targeted. “I got whipped”
Szpilka suffered several severe defeats during his career as a boxer, and those in which he was the favorite may be particularly painful. This was his status before the fights with Adam Kownacki and Łukasz Różański, and he lost both of these fights by knockout. Now he would like to get back at both of these rivals in the MMA formula. First he would like to fight Różański.
– I cordially invite him. I think KSW can get him, so let's do it. I respect Łukasz, he won the world championship and previously defeated me. There were different circumstances in our fight, but he won. And if he wants to fight in MMA now, he will definitely find his place in KSW. Our styles ensure an explosive clash. It would probably break out immediately. He can't do otherwise, I also like to move forward, Szpilka said in an interview with “Super Express”.
After this declaration, the former boxer was asked about Kownacki. – I invite them both, but with full respect and humility, because they gave me beatings in the box. Both with Adam and Łukasz it would be very difficult rematches, but I want it. I believe that they don't have better offers on the table and they won't have them, but it's all on KSW's side – says Szpilka.
Różański was to declare his willingness to enter the world of MMA and fight Szpilka. For “Szpila” it would be another rematch against a rival from the world of boxing, because in his debut for the KSW federation he already won against Serhiy Radchenko, with whom he drew in the penultimate boxing fight.
For now, however, the 35-year-old is waiting for official confirmation of the fight with Errol Zimmerman. Szpilka has been waiting to enter the octagon since May 11.
