The Dwa Brzegi film festival is underway in Kazimierz Dolny. It is a feast for fans of cinema and series. The event also includes meetings with filmmakers. TVN24 journalist Ewelina Witenberg spoke with Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert, who presented their latest film entitled “All Inclusive” at the festival.
– This is a film in which there is the greatest artistic freedom. In the sense that we simply immersed ourselves in this world of creating a film on certain principles that we imposed on ourselves from the outset, but at the same time within these principles we gave ourselves enormous freedom – said Małgorzata Szumowska in a conversation with Ewelina Witenberg. – There was no big film crew, no budget. Everything was a bit like returning to student days, to the roots, to documentary forms, from which Michał and I started. This is what made this film seem incredibly fresh to me.
The director was asked about all-inclusive holidays. According to her, they are “a certain absurd form of relaxation”. – These holidays very often, regardless of where they take place and what culture we encounter, create a bubble for tourists who do not really leave it – she said.
