Szymon Hołownia called Rafał Trzaskowski for a debate

Szymon Hołownia, Marshal of the Sejm and the third road candidate for president, offered Rafał Trzaskowski a debate in Gdańsk. He expressed the hope that he could meet with the President of Warsaw in the second round.

Szymon Hołownia He met voters on Wednesday at the “Reader” cafe in Warsaw. The seat of the PO National Council is located in the same building.

The third road candidate spoke about the campaign before the presidential election. – In this campaign I see very clearly how much Poland is missing today, a strong, specific conversation. And yes, I am here also because I am worried about what is happening with Rafał Trzaskowski. I have the impression that his staff hides him in a golden cage, that he hides him, trying to defend him from various attacks, challenges that may meet him, trying to keep a greenhouse atmosphere around him – said the Speaker of the Sejm.

“I want to help him to get out of this greenhouse atmosphere, because the second round will decide about the election this year,” he added.

Hołownia: I want to offer Trzaskowski a sparring

– You can say that we are – it's obvious – rivals, but we are also people who are in many aspects similar to Poland. I want to offer him to sparb, that we both prepare for what awaits us in the second round, and people gave people a foretaste of the second round, which – believe me – may look like candidates such as Rafał Trzaskowski and I will face it – Hołownia said.

– It will be a debate, it will be a sparring – if Rafał agrees to it, and I hope it will be – people who really allow you to look at two good candidates that they will let you talk to someone in this debate, and not just against someone – he turned to the gathered.

He announced that he would be invited to Rafał Trzaskowski's staff regarding a meeting at a debate in Gdańsk on April 30.

– Today I want to offer him this debate and I will make such an invitation to his staff to meet (…) in Gdańsk, next Wednesday – said Hołownia. “It will be a debate, it will be a sparring if Rafał agrees to it,” he added.
