Accident while reversing a bus in Tapin (Podkarpacie). A 39-year-old man who was hit died. The driver was sober. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
The accident occurred on Tuesday (20 August) at around 6 p.m. in the area of the bus bay in the town of Tapin in the Jarosław district in the Podkarpacie region. A 39-year-old man was hit by a bus there.
While reversing, he hit a 39-year-old man.
“According to the officers' initial findings so far, a 60-year-old man driving a SOR bus, while reversing, hit a pedestrian behind the vehicle. The 39-year-old resident of the Rokietnica commune was taken to the hospital in Jarosław with serious bodily injuries, where he died despite the help provided,” the Jarosław police said in a statement.
She also reported that the bus driver was sober.
The 39-year-old's body has been secured for autopsy. The police, under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, are determining the exact circumstances of the accident.
