The police from Tarnobrzeg (Podkarpacie) detained a 21-year-old man and his 16-year-old companion. They are both suspected of breaking windows in the bus shelter. They drove away from the scene, departing with a random, stopped driver. They were captured a few minutes later.

As the police found out, they destroyed the windows in the bus shelter in the vicinity. – The men fled the scene, leaving with an accidental driver who was stopped on a “hitch”. The policemen were alerted about the act of vandalism, and they immediately dealt with the matter. They established the description of the perpetrators and began their search, says Beata Jędrzejewska-Wrona, press officer of the Tarnobrzeg police.

The wanted people were recognized and arrested a few minutes later at the station. – They were two residents of Tarnobrzeg, aged 16 and 21. The older man was under a strong influence of alcohol. Testing with the device showed over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his body – said the spokeswoman.

After sobering up, the 21-year-old was charged with property damage, for which he could face up to five years in prison. The teenager will answer in a family court.

– The resulting losses were estimated at PLN 3.5 thousand – adds the policewoman.
