The police are looking for a person who shot a cat in Tarnów (Lesser Poland Voivodeship), leading to its death. The animal had a gunshot wound and pellets in its body. Despite several days of treatment, he could not be saved.

At the end of May, the Tarnów police received a report about a cat being shot. As reported by Radio Kraków, the animal was shot – most likely with an air gun – on May 17 near Tuwima Street.

“Our cat didn't leave the house, he only got out once to see the Tarnów spring and paid for it with his life (…). Kubuś was dying in agony, and the bandit lives among us” – we read in the announcement quoted by the radio station of the cat's owners, who for help they offered a cash reward to find the perpetrator.

The police are looking for the perpetrator

As staff midshipman Paweł Klimek, press officer of the Tarnów police, informed us, the cat had a gunshot wound and there was a pellet in its body. – The pellet was removed by a veterinarian. The cat died four or five days after the incident, Klimek said.

Officers are looking for the person who shot the dog. – We have not found the perpetrator yet, but we are not giving up our weapons – assured the Tarnów police spokesman. The investigation is into animal abuse.
