In Tarnowo Podgórne near Poznań, a gas pipe was damaged. – Nearby buildings were evacuated – informs the officer on duty of the Greater Poland fire department. The operation was completed before noon.

A gas pipe burst on Poznańska Street in Tarnowo Podgórne. Firefighters received a report of the incident at 9:58.

– Nearby buildings were evacuated, 15 people in total. Firefighters are working on site – the officer on duty at the Wielkopolska fire department reported after 10 a.m.

The evacuation included buildings within a radius of 300 meters from the damaged pipe.

There were seven fire brigades and a gas emergency service on site. According to the Tarnowo Podgórne authorities, Poznańska Street between Łąkowa and Rokietnicka Streets was closed to traffic.

The action was completed at around 11:20. – Poznańska Street is passable, residents are returning home – said Agnieszka Rzeźnik, head of the Social Communication and Promotion Office of the Tarnowo Podgórne Commune Office.
