A 50-year-old driver was fined and given penalty points after hitting a 75-year-old man who – according to the police – “was on the road”. The perpetrator turned out to be Tomasz Głogowski, an MP from the Civic Coalition. In an interview with TVN24, he confirmed the collision and the receipt of the fine.
The incident took place on Thursday around 3 p.m. on Wajdy Street in Tarnowskie Góry.
According to the spokesman for the police in Tarnowskie Góry, Assistant Commissioner Kamil Kubica, traffic police officers initially determined that the driver of the Opel, a 50-year-old resident of Tarnowskie Góry, ran his vehicle into a 75-year-old man who was on the road.
“As a result of contact with a vehicle and falling on the road, the injured resident of Tarnowskie Góry was transported by paramedics to the hospital for further examination,” the spokesman announced on social media.
He also stated that both participants in the incident were sober.
The incident was classified as a road collision, and the 75-year-old did not require hospitalization. The perpetrator was fined.

In a telephone conversation with TVN24, he confirmed the collision and the fine he paid on the spot.
