Tauron’s supervisory board dismissed president Paweł Szczeszek and four vice-presidents. Board member Karolina Mucha-Kuś was delegated to temporarily perform the duties of the president – Tauron announced in a statement.

In addition to CEO Paweł Szczeszek, Patryk Demski, vice president for strategy and development, Bogusław Rybacki, vice president for asset management, Tomasz Szczegielniak, vice president for trade, and Artur Warzocha, vice president for corporate affairs, were also dismissed.

At the same time, the supervisory board of Tauron adopted a resolution on delegating, as of February 14, 2024, member of the supervisory board, Karolina Mucha-Kuś, to temporarily perform the duties of the president until the date of appointment of the new president, but not longer than three months from the date of delegation.

Who is Karolina Mucha-Kuś?

As stated in the announcement, Karolina Mucha-Kuś has been associated with the energy industry since 2007. She has experience in implementing projects and investments in the energy sector, including in the areas of distribution and trade, and in public administration in the areas of e-mobility, including the use of hydrogen in public transport, purchasing groups (energy, gas), targeted subsidies, including low emission reduction programs, and digitization of public administration (open data platform).

Tauron Polska Energia is a joint-stock company engaged in the generation, distribution and sale of energy. The State Treasury holds just over 30 percent. shares.
