On Monday, the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) published a notice regarding a pen sold in TEDi chain stores. The product has been withdrawn from circulation. The reason for this decision was the finding of an increased cadmium content.
“The entrepreneur TEDi Sieć Handlowa Sp. z o. o. notified the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection that an increased content of cadmium was detected in Zając pompon pens, article number: 91512001331000000255, manufactured in China, which may be hazardous to health” – we read in the announcement UOKiK.
This product was available for sale from December 23, 2022 to October 25, 2023.
You can return the product
A message on this matter also appeared earlier on the TEDi network website. “Tests showed an increased cadmium content. Due to the health risk, further use of the product is not recommended,” the company informed.
The announcement added that customers can return the product or exchange it for another one of the same value at any TEDi store.
