The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) published a notice regarding a pen sold in TEDi chain stores. The product has been withdrawn from circulation. The reason for this decision was the finding of an increased cadmium content.
UOKiK provided information about the product withdrawal after the TEDi network, which reported that tests carried out on several products showed an increased cadmium content. “Due to the health risk, further use of the product is not recommended,” we read in the message.
The products “Einhorn” and “Officeline” ballpoint pen (pink, anthracite and silver with a figure of a rabbit, owl, crown, flamingo and heart) have been withdrawn.
This product was available for sale from 01/06/2022 to 17/11/2023.
“You can return the above product or exchange it for another one of the same value from PLN 8.50, PLN 12 to PLN 14 in any TEDi store,” the chain said in a statement.
This is the second recall of the same product. The previous one took place in November 2023.
