The police detained a 27-year-old man suspected of scratching the bodywork of one of the cars parked near the railway station in Terespol (lubelskie province). According to the findings of the officers, the scratches were caused by the man carrying pallets and branches between the cars. He faces up to five years in prison.

At the end of January, the owner of the Ford left the car in the parking lot near the railway station in Terespol, and went by train to Warsaw.

When he returned late in the evening, it turned out that someone had scratched parts of the body of his car. He reported the matter to the police.

“The man did not suspect anyone of this act. He also claimed that he had no conflict with anyone. Criminals from the Terespolski police station took care of the case,” said Commissioner Barbara Salczyńska-Pyrchla from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Biała Podlaska.

The uniforms determined that a 27-year-old resident of the municipality of Piszczac could be behind the damage to the car.

“The findings of the policemen showed that the man was moving pallets and branches between parked cars” – reports Salczyńska-Pyrchla.

The man was charged with property damage. Under the applicable law, he is liable to imprisonment for up to five years for the act he committed.
