Matthew Stone from the city of Kerrville reported that the police knocked on his door at 5.30, but he did not receive any warning to his phone.
– We didn't receive any warning. There was nothing – said Stone. And then, as he reported, “black as a tar wall of death” came.
Stone added that the police used his boat to help save a neighbor. He and the rescuers thought they were hearing someone calling for help from the water, but they didn't see anyone.

“I was terrified”

Dangerous valley
