The danger does not pass

Thursday is the second day in a row when powerful storms visited the United States. On Wednesday, strong winds downed trees, destroyed buildings and pushed cars off highways in an area stretching from eastern Texas to the eastern coast of Georgia.

Meteorologists predict that a wave of storms will continue to move through Oklahoma and parts of Texas, with the risk of severe weather remaining in the Oklahoma City area. Heat warnings are in place for the rest of Texas and other southern states from Thursday, with temperatures likely to reach 38 degrees Celsius. The perceived temperature can be as high as 43 degrees Celsius.
