There will be inspections in Warsaw hospitals after a shocking story, which we talked about on Friday in TVN's “Facts”. It turned out that two facilities did not accept a 91 -year -old patient with lung ignition, because – according to the findings of our journalists – patients of this age in such a serious condition are reluctant to accept. The patient died from the hospital to the hospital.

What happened in these capital hospitals – first Prague, and then Wolski – will check the Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw and the Patient Rights Ombudsman. According to journalists of the TVN Warsaw portal, both hospitals refused to accept a 91-year-old patient with suspicion of bilateral pneumonia. The patient was transported by an ambulance from the hospital to the hospital with a referral from a doctor. She finally died without obtaining help.

The 91 -year -old sick with bilateral pneumonia is not a patient who eagerly wants to deal with hospitals – her prognosis for cure are not high. However, there is a high risk of death and spoiling the statistics of a medical facility. We know – the more deaths, the worse the hospital.

Are we different before the law depending on age? – No, absolutely. I would say even more that seniors with such ailments and such a diagnosis as bilateral pneumonia should be treated priority. Senior with such recognition is in a state of direct threat to life and to him this help should be given immediately – indicates Karolina Seidel, a lawyer, a specialist in medical law.

Why was the senior not accepted?

In the case of a 91-year-old, this help was not provided. Already on Friday we published the bizarre translations of the medical director of the Prague Hospital. They did not accept a seriously ill senior, because the lifeguard from the ambulance approached this window not what it needs – explained the director. Instead of for an existing, it was a window next to the window, where planned patients were taken.

– This person has no medical education, this is an administrative person – explains Marcin Makiewicz, medical director at the Prague Hospital in Warsaw.

In fact – as TVN Warsaw journalists determined – the party was refused not by an administrative employee, but a person most competent – with medical education. – The refusal to accept was signed and also conquered his stamp on duty, SOR, who was on duty in the hospital that day – says Klaudia Kamieniarz, TVN journalist Warsaw.

The old lady was taken to the Wolski Hospital. They didn't want her there either. After two hours of waiting in front of the hospital in the ambulance, her heart stood. Only then it was accepted at SOR.

“A person was admitted to the hospital emergency department who was while transferring to the SOR” – we read in a statement of the Wolski Hospital.

However, it was too late.
