What are the best beaches in the world for the upcoming holiday season? Tripadvisor has prepared a ranking of 25 beaches that received the best reviews from millions of tourists last year. Popular places in Europe are also in the lead.

The Tripadvisor portal collects opinions about e.g. directions and tourist attractions, hotels or restaurants from people around the world. Travelers can leave reviews of the places they’ve been and attach photos. On Tuesday, February 28, a ranking was published – according to millions of tourists – the 25 best beaches in the world for 2023. They received the best ratings in the previous year.

The best beaches for 2023

1. Baia do Sancho – Fernando de Noronha archipelago, Brazil. The best beach, according to Internet users, can only be reached by boat or by climbing down a ladder along a steep cliff. It is located on an island 354 km from the mainland (from the Brazilian state of Pernambuco). Last year, Baía do Sancho was ranked 7th.

2. Eagle Beach – Aruba island, Caribbean. It is covered with fine white sand. The bottom of the sea is sandy and the water has a turquoise hue. It is also a breeding ground for several species of sea turtles.

3. Cable Beach – city of Broome, Australia. This is the most famous Australian beach, which is also one of the most beautiful in the world. The water is turquoise, the sand soft and white, and there are lots of trees in the area. The beach is clean and safe.

4. Reynisfjara (called the black beach) – the town of Vik, Iceland. Black volcanic sand, caves and stones attract tourists not to relax and swim, but rather to admire this original northern landscape.

5. Grace Bay – Turks and Caicos Islands, Caribbean. It is known for its snow-white sand, bright blue ocean and purity. It is very long and wide, which means that there are no dense clusters of tourists there.

6. Praia da Falésia – the town of Olhos de Agua, Portugal. It is quite long and there are high orange cliffs on its coast. You can go down the rocks using wooden stairs.

7. Radhanagara – Havelock Island, India. This beach is white sand, emerald blue water and lush green areas along the coast. It’s not too crowded. It is a great place for water sports such as diving.

8. Spiaggia dei Conigli (Rabbit Beach) – Lampedusa, Italy. It is surrounded by crystal clear waters full of lush marine life. It will especially appeal to nature lovers.

9. Varadero – Cuba. It is 20 km long, sandy and has no steep slopes. There are cliffs, caves, lagoons and dunes in the area.

10. Ka’anapali – Maui Island, Hawaii. It most impresses with its light golden sand and turquoise water. There are several resorts nearby, so beach attendance is quite high.
