The car skidded and hit an LPG gas dispenser at a gas station in Krakow. The MaĆopolska fire brigade talks about a “very large gas leak”.
At the gas station at ul. Kocmyrzowska 43 in Krakow, the fire brigade is in operation after a car failed to brake on a slippery surface and hit an LPG gas dispenser.
– The driver does not require medical assistance. Two water curtains were placed on site. The firefighters turned off the gas valve to the distributor. A specialist chemical and ecological group has arrived to examine the atmosphere and check how far the gas has spread, said Hubert CiepĆy, spokesman for the Lesser Poland State Fire Service.

He added that we are talking about a “very large gas leak”. – Situations like this are very rare, CiepĆy said. 25 firefighters are working on site.
There have been difficult road conditions in Krakow and MaĆopolska since Friday due to snowfall.
