The case of Karol Nawrocki's apartments. Comments of politicians

Karol Nawrocki, PiS candidate for president, declared in the election debate that he has one apartment, but according to media reports – he has two. PiS MEP Tobiasz Bocheński called Nawrocki the “rhetorical figure”.

During the Monday election debate “Super Express” Candidate PIS As president, Karol Nawrocki spoke against the introduction of a catastral tax and said he was the owner of one apartment. The tax depends on the catastral value of the property, i.e. the value of the house, apartment, premises or other object. Magdalena Biejat, who asked Nawrocki in this matter during the debate, is a supporter of the introduction of catastral tax on the third and subsequent apartments.

Nawrocki assured that he would “be a defender” of Poles against this tax. “I say on behalf of Polish women and ordinary Poles, like me, who have one apartment,” he said.

Onet determined on the basis of a review of public land and mortgage registers that the PiS candidate has not one, but two apartments. Both are in Gdańsk, he bought the first with his wife for a mortgage. According to Onet, the marriage came into possession of the second property in 2017, but it is not burdened with a mortgage. Five years earlier, the Nawroccy signed with Jerzy Ż., An earlier owner of the apartment, a preliminary contract.

The spokeswoman for the staff of Karol Nawrocki Emilia Wierzbicki wrote last Wednesday that the PiS candidate “contained all information about his apartments in property declarations for years”. However, they are not publicly available. As a spokeswoman continued, “the apartment is at the disposal of a person who for many years, as a social activist in the Gdańsk district of Siedlce, was the only one who was looked after by Dr. Karol Nawrocki.”

He added that Nawrocki showed two apartments in all property declarations. Łoboda reminded that the statements are not open.

According to the Law and Justice candidate for the president, the investigation into the use of the apartment was discontinued. The Gdańsk prosecutor's office is of a different opinion, which announced that the investigation was pending.

– Perhaps this is due to a lack of experience, and perhaps because he is simply unable to tell the truth. This is wrong with the presidential candidate – said Łoboda.

According to Bocheński, “what is pulled out shows only how much horror in the environment of Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski is raised by Karol Nawrocki.”
