The Civic Platform supports the candidacy of Piotr Krzystek. The president of Szczecin will fight for a fifth term

The current mayor of Szczecin, Piotr Krzystek, who is seeking re-election, has received the support of the Civic Platform in the upcoming local government elections. The candidates for the city council included, among others: local activists, entrepreneurs and teachers.

Szczecińska civil Platform on Sunday, it adopted a resolution to continue cooperation with Piotr Krzystek and support his candidacy elections for the president of Szczecin. These will take place on April 7 this year.

The incumbent president will run for this position for the fifth time. He announced his decision February 9 during a press conference. His election slogan this time is: “A proven president. Szczecin is better every day.”

Krzystek’s opponent is to be Law and Justice MP Zbigniew Bogucki.

Candidates for the City Council approved

The district council also approved the lists of candidates for the Szczecin city council, which included, among others: social activists, activists, entrepreneurs and teachers.

The list in district no. 1 is opened by a local government official, vice-chairman of the Szczecin city council, Marcin Biskupski. Right behind him is women’s rights activist and organizer of social protests Maria Schneider, and in third place is councilor of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Assembly, Wojciech Dorżynkiewicz.

“One” in district no. 2 is Urszula Pańka, director of the West Pomeranian Teacher Training Center and councilor of Szczecin. The next places are occupied by Stanisław Kaup and gynecologist Dorota Gródecka.

The first place in district 3 is held by Paweł Bartnik, councilor of Szczecin, director of the Euroregion Pomerania office. Next are the co-chairs Green Party Przemysław Słowik and entrepreneur Ewa Jasińska. The first places on the list in districts no. 4 and 5 are councilor of Szczecin, director of the Hospital in Zdroje Łukasz Tyszler and councilor Jan Posłuszny. The lists also included, among others: director of the Maritime Science Center Witold Jabłoński and the head of the Jadłodzielnia in Szczecin, Elżbieta Abramowicz.
