Linda Noskova is a tennis player well known to Polish fans. A year ago she made a sensation, defeating Iga Świątek in the third round of Australian Open. And now, although she has a poor beginning of the season, she has just played against another Polish style in the style we remembered from her last year's clash from Świątek in Melbourne.

In the first round of the WTA 500 tournament in Abu, Noskova was considered a delicate favorite of the fring match, despite the fact that in the world ranking there is a Polish woman above. Our tennis player currently occupies the 28th place on the WTA list, and the Czech Republic is 39. But professionals gave more chances to win Noskova, because she has a more offensive tennis and when she has a good day, she makes great use of her excellent physical conditions.

Typhoon. The fring had no chance

A small fringed game clever tennis is regular, persistent and builds her game on it. Unfortunately, the first minutes of the match showed that Noskova is taking matters into her own hands and does not allow the Polish woman to build.

After seven minutes it was 0: 3 in games and 1:12 in points. The fring did not exist. “Typhoon” – said the commentator about Noskova. “It is hard to believe that this tennis player is only 39 in the world ranking and won only one match this year,” he emphasized when Noskova went out 4: 0. “Magda is in a huge shortcoming. He spreads his hands, looks helpless at the coach Andrzej Kobierski. You can only sympathize with Magda, because the opponent plays flawlessly and hellishly ” – we heard, looking at how the first set quickly escapes our tennis player.

After a losing party to zero in 23 minutes, the commentator could not stand and expressed the hope that maybe Noskova in the second set would not be so haunted. “Let Magda not break down, let her fight to the end,” he said. “She is known for it” – he added.

That's true. The fring does not break, which would not happen. The best proof is her match three weeks ago, when in the second round the Australian Open lost to Anna Blinka the first batch 0: 6, after which she won the next sets 6: 0, 6: 2 and advanced to the third round. In the first Grand Slam Tournament this year, she failed to equalize her best achievement in her career – the fourth round of Australian Open a year ago. But in Melbourne she had a good, solid performance. And she also began to play in the second set of the match against Noskova in Abu Dhabi. Czech, who in the Australian Open dropped out in the first round (lost to Dunka Tauson) slowed down a bit, began to confuse a bit. Finally, you could believe that in 2025 she really won only one match so far (in the first round of the tournament in Brisbane – then she lost there in the second round and in the first rounds in Adelaide and Australian Open).

The fring has fed. Only and so much

The fring in the second set quickly assured herself that she would not leave the bike, i.e. she would not lose the match 0: 6, 0: 6. And she quickly showed that she was going to fight for a lot more. At 0: 6, 2: 2 she had two breakpoints. She failed to break her rival, but she had clearly caught playing, already – as the commentator put it – she ventured.

Then the second set lasted longer than the first. The lead 3: 2 Noskov won after 24 minutes, and let us remind you that she won the first batch 6-0 after 23 minutes. Applause for fringes for fighting, but – unfortunately – she could not fight much. Noskova just after defending the two Breakpoins broke the Polish woman. And when she left 6: 0, 4: 2, she quickly increased the advantage to 6: 0, 5: 2 at her website. The truth is that the Polish woman had only less than half an hour in this match. And this is mainly because the Czech was a little weaker for less than half an hour.

The fring wants to take the initiative more often, he tries to play more offensive tennis. But in a collision with such an offensive rival as Noskova, our second best tennis player was simply helpless. It is a pity, because in the second round there would be an opportunity to face Paula Badosa, semi -finalist of the recent Australian Open.
