On Sunday, in the “Facts after Facts” program on TVN24, the course of the conference was commented on by Katarzyna Pisarska, who represented the Foundation in Munich. Kazimierz Pułaski. – I honestly admit that I did not see (earlier) such moods, on the one hand terror, then mobilization, then reflection – she reported.
– A lot has happened and I think that the conference will be remembered as one that either ends or begins a chapter in history textbooks – she assessed.
Delegates did not know what was going on
Pisarska also referred to the attitude of representatives of the American administration and plans at the end of the war in Ukraine. – Europeans were frightened by the scale of conversations that take place over our heads, about matters that relate to our European safety and safety of Ukraine – she said.
– And this was not only our surprise, but above all, unfortunately, the surprise of the Ukrainians, which worried us the most – she emphasized.
Pisarska admitted that the beginnings of the meeting were accompanied by confusion of delegates, caused by earlier information about the interview of the US President with Vladimir Putin. Trump first talked to the Russian leader, only then with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski. – When we came to Munich on Friday, it was already 24 hours after Trump-Putin talks. It took a bit of the delegates to find out what was going on – she reported.
– The most interesting was that a large part of Trump's administration itself, and especially the congress, did not know what was going on. They tried to make a good face for a bad game, they were not fully prepared – she said.
