The court extended the detention of Father O. and two officials from the Ministry of Justice

The District Court in Warsaw decided on Wednesday to extend by another three months the pre-trial detention of Father Michał O. and two Ministry of Justice officials suspected in the investigation into the Justice Fund.

In mid-August, the spokesman for the National Prosecutor's Office, Prosecutor Przemysław Nowak, announced that new charges had been filed against three suspects in the investigation into the Justice Fund – Father Michał O. and two fund officials. The prosecutor's office also requested that their temporary detention be extended for another three months.

– Prosecutors from Investigative Team No. 2 of the National Prosecutor's Office announced a decision to supplement and change the previous charges against the suspects Michał O., Urszula D. and Karolina K. In this decision, the prosecutor presented the suspects with a new charge – participation in an organized criminal group aimed at committing crimes against property – informed the spokesman for the National Prosecutor's Office. He indicated that after the charges were presented to the suspects, they were questioned.

On Wednesday, the District Court in Warsaw considered the prosecutor's motion to extend the arrest. As attorney Krzysztof Wąsowski reported, Father O. and two clerks will remain in custody.
