Presidential Minister Bogna Janke spoke on TVN24 about the activities of Andrzej Duda related to the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border. – The president was very busy with the situation yesterday. He did so much that you can’t blame anything – she argued.
According to information from Polish authorities and services, as well as videos posted by them on social media, from Monday morning a large group of migrants gathered on the border between Belarus and Poland, making attempts to cross the border by force. The situation became more acute during the day. The Ministry of National Defense announced in the afternoon that a massive attempt to cross the border had been stopped.
During the day, the crisis management team with the participation of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki debated. Then, President Andrzej Duda met with the government at the National Security Bureau. In the evening, the speech was delivered by the Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek. An additional session of the Sejm was called for Tuesday.
Janke: You can’t blame the president
Bogna Janke, secretary of state in the president’s chancellery, spoke about the actions of President Andrzej Duda on the crisis on the border on Tuesday in “One for One” on TVN24.
– The president did a lot yesterday. He called a meeting at the National Security Bureau, changed his travel plans related to his visit to Slovakia, and did not rule out the convening of the National Security Council, the presidential minister enumerated.
When asked if it was not the president who should deliver the address in such a situation, she replied: – It is not out of the question that this may still happen.
– It is good that Marshal Witek delivered the message. The president is absolutely up to date. This is a difficult, serious situation for Poland and the European Union, she emphasized.
She reiterated that “the president was very busy with this situation yesterday”. – I wouldn’t look for any contexts here. The president did so much yesterday that you cannot blame anything – said Janke ..
