Closed passage in Kuźnica

From 7 am until further notice due to the migration crisis on the border with Belarus, the road crossing in Kuźnica (Podlaskie Voivodeship) is closed for both passenger and goods traffic. The waiting time of truck drivers to leave Poland at the neighboring border crossing point in Bobrowniki on Tuesday at noon increased to 34 hours.

The RCB called on Tuesday to head to the crossings in the Lubelskie Voivodeship – in Terespol and Kukuryki. “Due to the border traffic at the road crossing in Kuźnica suspended until further notice by @Straz_Graniczna, please go to the crossings in Terespol and Kukuryki” – he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

The Border Guard emphasizes that it was forced to close the crossing in Kuźnica due to the lack of reaction from the Belarusian side to attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border by organized groups of migrants in this area.

A large group of migrants on the Belarusian side of the border

South of Kuźnica, on the Belarusian side, there has been a large group of migrants on the border with Poland since Monday. Migrants tried to break through the borders, destroying security and attacking Polish officers. There may be several hundred to two thousand people there.

The Ministry of National Defense informed in the afternoon that the services of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and soldiers had managed to stop the first mass attempt to cross the border. The uniforms used tear gas against the forcing. Currently, migrants have set up a camp in the Kuźnica region. They are guarded by the Belarusian services.

When reporting on the events at the border, the media can use almost exclusively official government recordings and information. Journalists have no access to the area under the state of emergency.
