The Border Guard announced on Thursday that on Wednesday evening “there were several attempts at the border to force it by aggressive, large groups of foreigners”. According to SG, one of the groups consisted of 500 people.

The spokeswoman of the Border Guard, Second Lieutenant Anna Michalska, informed that “a family of five suffered as a result of an attempt to illegally cross the border in Dubicze Cerkiewne: a woman, a man and three children aged 7 to 9”. The crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border

There is a migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, triggered by the regime of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenka. The situation worsened earlier this week, when migrants gathered at the border crossing in Kuźnica and tried forcibly to get to Poland. On Tuesday, several Polish officers were injured by stones thrown by migrants.

There is a state of emergency in the border zone with Belarus. Journalists have no access to the zone it covers. When reporting on the events at the border, the media can use almost exclusively official government recordings and information.
