On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in the city of Holešov reached 32 degrees Celsius. It was also hot in Prague, as well as in the cities of Doksy and Ústí nad Orlicí. There, the thermometers showed 31 degrees Celsius.
– We have an above-average hot week ahead of us. The temperature in the afternoon can reach as high as 33 degrees Celsius. Tropical days will be joined by tropical nights, said Dagmar Honsová, a meteorologist.
The owners of swimming pools enjoy the hot, sunny weather. Many people on such hot days want to cool down in the water, which is why these facilities are overcrowded with people.
Also families with children do not complain about the heat. “Finally the sun came out and we were able to go out with the children,” said Ema Dvořáková.
