Czech traffic police officers assisted with the birth after the driver asked them for help while on patrol, saying that he would not be able to get to the hospital in time. “Law enforcers will certainly not forget this day for a long time,” writes the Czech police.

The Czech police announced the “unforgettable experience” of two traffic officers on Thursday in a message on its website. On Wednesday, police officers were conducting a roadside check on a car on a route near the town of Paskov, about 40 km from the border with Poland, when another vehicle stopped in front of the police car. The driver asked the officers for help, saying that his wife had gone into labor and would not make it to the hospital in time.

According to police, officers helped the woman whose water had broken lie down in the back seat of the car. One of them called a paramedic and then passed the information on to the future father who delivered the baby. “Soon, a healthy girl was born,” the police emphasized.

The police covered the mother and child with a thermal blanket, then an ambulance arrived and took the family to the hospital. “The law enforcement officers will certainly not forget this day for a long time. We wish the new parents and the child happiness, health and further adventures, always with a happy ending,” we read in the police post.
