Śnieżka (1,602 m above sea level) belongs to the Crown of Polish Mountains, and is also the highest peak in the Czech Republic: the border between Poland and our southern neighbor runs through the top of the mountain. Apart from the characteristic observatory building and the chapel of St. Wawrzyńca, there is a post office at the top of Śnieżka. It is the highest facility of this type in the Czech Republic.
