Next weekend, the World Cup competition will move to Wisła, where two individual competitions will be held. Until now, however, it was not known in what form the jumpers would compete for further points. Due to the fact that there were problems with preparing the facility, Polish The Ski Association and the organizers considered holding the competition in the so-called hybrid conditions, i.e. on ice tracks and pine trees.
350 cubic meters of snow would be enough for the machine to function flawlessly. I won't hide it. It's bad. However, we will do everything to ensure that the facility is ready. These constant rainfalls are ruining a lot for us – Andrzej Wąsowicz, the activist managing the organization of the competition and the preparation of the hill, told us in a conversation with Jakub Balcerski. Now the decision on this matter is known.
Andrzej Wąsowicz announced that the World Cup competition in Wisła will take place entirely on snow. – On Sunday we made the final decision, we will hold a snow competition. We have an idea for this. I think we have 90 percent of the white fluff collected. We have a snow warehouse in Kubalonka and we will deliver it tomorrow. The ski jump will be in a winter uniform – said the organizer of the World Cup competition in Wisła in an interview with the portal WP SportoweFakty.
