“Emily in Paris” has enjoyed huge popularity for years, and viewers were already rushing to see the second part of the fourth season of the production, which appeared on September 12. Vigilant fans did not miss the fact that in one scene we can see the first lady of France on the screen – Brigitte Macron. What about the wife's decision? Emmanuel Macron a public relations expert thinks – Dorota Anna Wroblewska? In an interview with Plotek, she assessed the performance of the first lady and also answered a question about Agata Duda.
Brigitte Macron appeared in “Emily in Paris”. What does the expert think about it?
Brigitte Macron It certainly surprised many when she appeared in one of the episodes of the fourth season of the popular series “Emily from Paris”. We decided to ask Dorota Anna Wróblewska, a personal brand mentor and public relations specialist for over two decades, about the first lady's appearance. What does the expert think about the French first lady's decision to appear in a well-known production? “The appearance of the president's wife in a film in the so-called 'present times' is not something that could shock his voters or the wider audience. (…) Actors have been presidents, governors, mayors, or vice versa. Actor Ronald Reagan became president of the USA, our former president Aleksander Kwasniewski He was also supposed to play in in the film (it didn't come to that) himself. A few years ago, the mayor of Podkowa LeÅ›na, Artur TusiÅ„ski, played himself in the comedy “W jak mordoro” – said Wróblewska.
It turns out that the French President made his screen debut before his wife. In 2018, Emmanuel Macron starred in the film “La Traversee” and he played himself there. “Brigitte Macron “if she was going to appear in something, she should have chosen a film that would benefit her husband, who is not one of the most popular presidents of France, first and foremost, and only then herself. And that is exactly what she did, taking part in a nice scene in the series 'Emily in Paris',” the expert believes. What can such a performance give the president? “It may indirectly influence the sympathy for him among the viewers of the series, who are similar in age to the young heroine of the film. In terms of reach, it is millions, if not billions of people. (…) The second aspect of this appearance is the subject of the series, which cognitively brings France and Paris itself closer, as a country open to culture, full of interesting people and very attractive to tourists. What's more, You can even meet the president's wife in a cafe!” – says the expert.
Emmanuel Macron and his wife care about their personal image, presenting themselves as open and direct people. (…) It is possible that there is also a desire, or even – perhaps – pressure felt by her to break the tendency in the media to comment on her person in the context of age. And here you go, Brigitte in a series about young people for young people
– the expert states. Can anyone be shocked by the first lady's performance? Opposition politicians may exploit the case. “The president's political opponents could be tempted to attack him in this way as well. The average French citizen certainly won't care” – she added.
Will Agata Duda appear in a Polish production?
In this context, the question about the Polish first lady also arises. Is Agata Duda will she ever decide to take such a step and we will see her on the screen? “Agata Duda could theoretically appear similarly to Brigitte Macron. Considering her image built during her second term – we feel that it is unlikely to occur. We also feel intuitively that it would carry a greater risk of hate and criticism,” says Wróblewska.
Our president would not do this to her husband. Her public image is based on being a loyal wife to an unpopular president. In this, she agrees with Brigitte Macron, and both women also share elegance and class, as well as a professional teaching career. Apart from that, they are different in every way
– summarizes the specialist.
