LOT Polish Airlines announced that in connection with the trade union strike at German airports in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt, it cancels ten Monday flights to these cities from Warsaw.

“Our Call Center will contact the passengers of the affected cruises to change the reservation,” LOT spokesman Krzysztof Moczulski announced on the platform X.

Warning strike

The Verdi trade union called employees of many German airports to conduct a full -day warning strike on Monday. It is to apply to airports in Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Kolonii/Bonn, Duesseldorf, Dortmund, Hanover, Bremen, Hamburg, Berlin-Brandenburg and Leipzig-Halle-said the DPA agency. Passengers must be prepared for references and delays.

According to the spokeswoman for the Hamburg airport, cited by the DPA agency, all flights to this port were canceled on Sunday due to the warning strike. – The airport was closed with immediate effect – the airport representative pointed out. 144 arrivals and 139 outlets are scheduled for Sunday. Before the airport closure was announced, only 10 flights were made in the morning, the others were canceled – explained the DPA agency.

Verdi demands, among others Wage increases by 8 %, but at least 350 euros more per month, as well as three additional days off. Employers rejected their demands, considering them unattainable. Further negotiations will take place on March 14-16 in Potsdam.
