AS Roma fans wouldn't have imagined such a mess at the beginning of the season even in their worst nightmares. The results are terrible, because the Roman club has only won three points in the first four league matches. In addition, the atmosphere has also become terrible, and the board of the capital team itself took care of that. They fired Daniele De Rossi from his position as coach, clearly blaming him for the poor start of the season.
De Rossi gets huge backing as Roma have to clean up their own mess
However, they did not foresee what would follow from such a decision. The Roma legend still enjoys great authority and trust from the fans. That is why when De Rossi was fired, the fans were furious. A whole host of unfavorable opinions appeared in the comments on social media, but they did not stop there. A group of fans even went to the club's training center to insult the players they met. They are to blame for the whole situation.
Former teammate stands behind De Rossi. He showed no mercy to the club
De Rossi's dismissal is also opposed by former club players. Zbigniew Boniek has already expressed his dissatisfaction. Now Radja Nainggolan has followed in his footsteps. The Belgian was a Roma midfielder from 2014 to 2018, and it was there that he became a very high-class player. He played over 203 matches for the Roman team, scoring 33 goals. The vast majority of them were played together with Daniele De Rossi (140).
Nainggolan made it clear via Instagram what he thought about his dismissal. Two words were enough. “Pure madness,” the Belgian midfielder wrote, adding a photo of De Rossi with a Roma scarf. The club has already announced that the new coach is Ivan Jurić, a former coach of Hellas Verona and Torino, among others. In the meantime, on Sunday, September 22 at 6:00 p.m., Roma will face a difficult clash with the sensational leader of the Serie A table, Udinese led by Kosta Runjaić.
