– Fourteenth pension It is paid ex officio. This means that there is no need to submit applications. Those entitled will receive it together with their pension, disability pension or other long-term benefit. It will be transferred together with the benefit due for September – the spokesman emphasized Social Insurance Institution. He recalled that the first tranche of the fourteenth pensions was paid on August 30. The benefits were then received by over 740 thousand retirees and pensioners. – On Friday, September 6, the fourteenth pensions will reach the next group of retirees and pensioners. Additional benefits will be received by over 1.1 million people for a total amount of over PLN 1.6 billion – informed Żebrowski.

This year, the full amount of the “fourteenth pension” will be PLN 1,780.96 gross, which is the current minimum pension. The full amount can be counted on by people whose basic benefit, e.g. retirement or disability pension, does not exceed PLN 2,900 gross. In the case of people with the main benefit between PLN 2,900 and PLN 4,630.96 gross, the “fourteenth pension” will be reduced according to the zloty for zloty principle. For example, a pension of PLN 3,500 gross will be paid in an amount lower by PLN 600, i.e. PLN 1,180.96 gross. However, the benefit will not be granted if the amount of the fourteenth pension is lower than PLN 50. This means that people whose retirement or disability pension is higher than PLN 4,630.96 gross will not receive it. The “Fourteenth” will also not be received by people with a benefit whose payment will be suspended on the day the entitlement to the benefit is examined (August 31, 2024), e.g. due to exceeding the limits for earning extra money.

The “fourteenth” will be free from deductions, e.g. bailiff's seizures. It will not be included in income when applying for social assistance, alimony or 500+ for dependents. Only the health insurance contribution and the income tax advance will be deducted from the benefit. A pensioner who receives the minimum benefit (PLN 1,780.96 gross) will receive two payments in total, amounting to PLN 3,114.35 net. The additional annual cash benefit for pensioners and annuitants from 2023 is permanently entered in the beneficiaries' payment calendar. The month of payment is determined each time Council of Ministers in a regulation issued no later than 31 October of a given year.
