The fullness of the snow moon in your photos

During Wednesday, our natural satellite was very light. Thanks to this, he looked great in the night sky. On contact24 we received photos of the so -called Snowy moon.

The tradition of naming the full moon is the custom of native Americans. They observed nature and, based on its changes or characteristic phenomena occurring in a given month, chose the name for this phenomenon. The name of the last fullness refers to the snow, which usually covered the earth at this time of year.

Some tribes also called fullness of hunger in February due to lack of access to food. It was believed that the arrival of this phase wakes up nature, which would bring fresh food.

Fullness is one of the four phases of the moon. It comes to it when our natural satellite is in opposition to the sun, i.e. on the opposite side of the earth than our star. During the full moon shield is visible in full, fully illuminated by sunlight. This phenomenon occurs on average every 29.5 days.
