The 16th edition of the “Give a bear” campaign has started. Once again, the greatest Polish stars and designers wore plush toys from the TVN Foundation. The total proceeds from their sale will be donated to the construction of a psychiatry clinic for children and adolescents at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. The journalist Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska told TVN24 in “Get up and the weekend” on TVN24 about why it is worth giving a teddy bear to your loved ones.
“Give a Teddy Bear” is a unique charity event. For the 16th time, the TVN Foundation and Rossmann encourage people to help. By joining forces for a common goal, they want to bring joy to new owners of teddy bears, but most of all help children in need. This year, the total proceeds from the campaign will be donated to the construction of a psychiatry clinic for children and adolescents at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. Teddy bears will be available for purchase throughout December.
The biggest Polish stars have prepared a limited, Christmas edition of the stuffed animals. She designed her teddy bear, among others actress Małgorzata Kożuchowska, as well as TVN journalist Dorota Wellman in cooperation with designer Robert Kupisz. Monika Olejnik, Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan and musician Krzysztof Zalewski are also taking part in the action.
Kolenda-Zaleska: this year’s goal is unique
– For 16 years, bears hug us. This year, the goal is unique – said Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24 on Sunday in the program “Get up and the weekend” on TVN24. She stressed that the problem of mental health is especially important now that we have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the journalist of “Fakt” TVN said, the idea of building a psychiatry clinic for children and adolescents had already appeared earlier. “But when it turned out that we all fight the covo, this idea really took on a different dimension,” she added.
– Teddy bears are always very popular, because they start the holiday season, there are Mikołajki. We have to give something to someone we love. This fits well with the atmosphere of Christmas. And this year this goal is truly unique – she emphasized.
A limited, Christmas edition of plush toys can be purchased at Rossmann drugstores all over Poland.
