Unfortunately, online hate is a daily occurrence for athletes. Whenever they fail at something, there will almost always be those, more or less numerous, who decide to vent their life's frustrations in hideous ways. Male and female players react to this differently. Some people simply ignore it, others appeal online not to do it, and still others are quite severely affected by it. But there is also Eva Lys. The German tennis player chose a very interesting way to fight the hater.

Watch the video Iga Świątek has chosen a new coach. “I'm very excited”

Eva Lys with a nice performance in Osaka

The player, ranked 118th in the WTA ranking, competed in the WTA 250 tournament in Osaka, Japan. Not too strongly seeded, the highest seed would be… Magdalena Fręch, but the Pole decided to withdraw. However, only one seeded player remained in the quarterfinals, the tournament's number seven, Diane Parry (France). The participants of the 1/4 final included: Lys.

The hater regretted it bitterly. Eva Lys is not kidding

However, the German of Ukrainian origin was eliminated quite unexpectedly with only the 188th racket in the world, the Japanese Aoi Ito. She won the first set after a tiebreak, but the next two were dominated by her opponent. A slight disappointment, considering who is still left in the bracket, but absolutely no reason to hate. Unfortunately, this happened to the 22-year-old after her defeat in Osaka. However, she proved that inaction is not her domain.

Lys decided to check who the author of one of the disgusting messages she received was. What's more, she managed to find the man's wife. The worst news is often anonymous, but here the author clearly didn't take much care of it. The German used it flawlessly. She decided to take a screenshot of the hate message and sent it to her wife, tagging her on Instagram, and asked the question “why does your husband insult 22-year-old women on Instagram?” We won't find out whether her husband had a difficult conversation at home, but the German tennis player set an exceptional example of dealing with haters.
